Background

Martin's Seafoods holds a reputation as one of the leading purveyors of quality seafood in Sydney. This reputation has been built on the core values of quality, honesty and professional integrity, which have been carried through the business for over 30 years in operation.

Martin's Seafoods was founded in Cooma, New South Wales. Owner and operator, Martin Palmer, recognised an opportunity to service the Cooma region with a reliable supply of fresh fish and began sourcing fish from the South Coast of New South Wales, as well as transporting fish from Sydney several times a week. It was not long before the business was booming with ski-lodges, hotels and restaurants relying on Martin for their quality seafood.

After 5 years of business in the snowfields, Martin decided to move to Sydney, where he took up work in a small shop located in the Sydney Fish Market. Martin's commitment to quality and broad knowledge of seafood was quickly recognised, and he developed a solid reputation amongst restaurateurs and chefs.

Martin and joint partner, Andrew Boyd, are great advocators of high quality Australian seafood, and are passionate about educating consumers on the variety and quality of local seafood. Employees of Martin's Seafoods share the same dedication to quality, and work diligently to ensure that only the best seafood is passed onto customers.
